Worst winter for years continues!

Posted: 2 Feb 2009

What seems like it has been a long and cold winter for much of Europe continues. The UK has been hit with the heaviest falls of snow for 18 years with more to come and the temperatures set to stay freezing for the week.

It has snowed almost constantly now for over 24 hours and the uncovered palms are weighed down with snow. I tried to knock some of it from the fronds today to try and reduce the chances of lasting damage from the sheer weight of snow but it is falling fast and just keeps coming!

Did have a feathered visitor though come down for some feed whilst I was out there knocking off the snow from the leaves!
