Enhancements to the site
1 Mar 2010
This weekend we met with our website developer and have worked through a number of great enhancements to the site that we have been planning for a while.
Some of these changes have been implemented already... fast work... and others will be made available over the next few weeks.
One of the exciting changes will be the start of compiling information sheets on the palms and other exotics that we grow across Europe. This will, with luck, start to build a reference drawn from our collective experience of growing the plants in different situations across all the countries in which our members garden. I think it will be a good project for all of us in the society but will need collective support to write the and compile the sheets but the end result will be so worthwhile.
Amongst those sheets it would be good to start ones that cover the species and forms of Trachycarpus, Butia, Chamaerops and Sabal which between them are some of our 'best' and most widely grown temperate palms.
Do keep a look out and if you are not a registered member please do sign up and join us. It is free to join though as always donations however small are always welcome to fund the site and improvements to it.
Kind regards
Tony
