General comments:

Butia exospadix can be found on the border between Brazil and Paraguay and was described by L. Noblick in 2006. Grassy Butia. Subterranean trunk. Short leaf rachis. The inflorescence exceeds much the top of the peduncolar bract. Small female flowers. Ovoid fruits with purple colour.
